This policy explains what personal information Tank411 (operated by Harper AI, Inc.) collects and compiles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It is written to meet California’s privacy laws (the CCPA/CPRA and CalOPPA), and we honor the rights described below for anyone, in any state.
Information we collect or compile
- Property-owner records (the product): owner name, property address, owner mailing address, year built, estimated septic-system age, appraised value, and parcel coordinates — compiled from Florida public records (the Department of Health’s septic-system inventory and the Department of Revenue’s county tax rolls), not collected from the owner directly. See Data Accuracy & Sourcing.
- Buyer information: the email address you use at checkout and your order details. Payment card data is collected and held by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- Form submissions: what you send through our correction & removal form (name, email, property reference, message).
- Site usage: basic analytics events (pages viewed, coarse device/browser info) and, for links printed on our postcards, a visit log (time, IP address, browser user-agent) used to measure that campaign. We do not run third-party advertising trackers and we do not use session recording.
- Contractor contact information: business names and addresses from the Florida DEP’s public septic-contractor registry, used for our own outreach to those businesses.
We sell compiled homeowner records (a “sale” under California law)
Our product is county lists of homes on septic systems, including the owner’s name and mailing address, sold to septic service businesses for their marketing. Because buyers pay for this information and use it for their own purposes, privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA treat this as a “sale” of personal information. You can opt out at any time — see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell or share information collected about visitors to this website.
Who we share information with
- Buyers — septic service businesses that purchase a county list receive the property-owner records in that list.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — email delivery (order delivery and notifications).
- Lob — printing and mailing our postcards to contractors.
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Google Cloud — hosting and infrastructure.
We do not share information with data brokers or advertising networks.
Cookies
We set a small number of first-party cookies: one that remembers which postcard link you arrived from (so the homepage can route you back to your county page) and, for our staff, an admin session cookie. No advertising cookies.
Retention
- Opt-out and correction requests are kept indefinitely — the suppression list is how we make sure an excluded property stays excluded from every future list.
- Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Visit logs and analytics are kept only as long as needed to measure our campaigns and improve the product.
- Compiled property records are refreshed from the state’s newest published releases; superseded snapshots are not republished.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected or compiled about you and how it is used.
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Correct inaccurate personal information — use the correction form.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — via Do Not Sell or Share.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Global Privacy Control and “Do Not Track”
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing where it applies. Because we do not sell or share website-visitor data, a GPC signal does not change how we treat your browsing; the records we sell are compiled from public records and are not linked to your browser, so opting a property out requires the form or email channel. There is no common standard for “Do Not Track,” so we do not respond to DNT signals.
